Tuesday Morning

We're in Sopers Hole, and the shuttle picks us up in 25 minutes. After sailing a little over 50 miles, at an average 7.1 miles per hour, with a top speed of 14 miles per hour, we are headed home.................................

Monday Evening

Moored at White Bay.....................sunsets.................cocktails...........not much else (needed).

Monday Morning

After the beautiful rainbow this morning, reality started setting in...................

We went through our supplies in order to decide what to give to Cynthia, since it was obvious that we had too many soft drinks and other cooking related items. Cynthia is installing a new dishwasher, so we tried to help with that for a little while, but quickly discovered that a plumber would have to handle it.

So off to White Bay we headed for a burger and painkiller at the Soggy Dollar Bar. There was a decent crowd there, but nobody at One Love, so we headed back to the boat to once again inventory the adult beverage supply.

Sunday Evening

Cynthia had a huge crowd at Harris' Place, including one group of 27 and another with 11. We sipped a few bushwhackers and then ate a buffet of barbequed chicken, ribs and beef. Cynthia said to tell everyone hello.

Since we are out of beer on the boat, after dinner we settled in and worked on the remaining vodka, gin and Makers Mark.

Mid-day Sunday Update

Terry and Jim headed to the Bubbling Pool for a little while, while Mike and Ken volunteered to test the beer supply on the boat (it was fine by the way).

Sunday Morning Update

Winds are calm. We left Drake's Anchorage a few hours ago at a much slower pace than earlier in the week. Ken contacted Cynthia at Harris' Place on the VHF and we are set for dinner tonight. Ken asked her whether he or Terry was her favorite, and she did a good job of avoiding answering that. We all agreed that she should be a politician!

With a relaxing sail..................the R&R Factor is high - probably a 9.2 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Saturday Update

Saturday, we got up and headed out for another tour of Anegada. Terry took us to a secret beach (we could tell you where, but we would have to kill you). We walked for a mile or so and saw a small shark chasing a bonefish, lots of cool shells and beautiful clear water.

We turned the rental car in at noon, and headed to Bitter End. After a shopping run there, we anchored at Drake's Anchorage at Mosquito Island. There was an incredible sunset and an awesome meal on the grill. LIFE IS GOOD......................

More on Friday

Sorry for the delay.........it took a little longer to solve all of the world's problems than we thought. Friday was a busy day. We rented the car and headed to Flash of Beauty for an adult beverage (imagine that). Ken had more than one!

Then we headed to Loblolly for another.

Then we headed to Cow Wreck Beach for another.

Then we headed back to the boat for another......................and the sunset.

Future Sailors

We met a fun crowd from Atlanta at Cow Wreck Beach, and told them all about the great times on Imiloa and One Love recently. They now have the phone numbers for Voyage, and want to set something up for a future vacation.

Ken Has Another Reason to Come to Anegada

Terry dared him, and now Ken has a new hobby............................

New Graphics for Imiloa

We had some decals made to dress up Imiloa. These will be placed on the side of the boat everytime we beat another boat to our destination.

So far, we have eight on each side. (just kidding Tom) Only two (kidding again)

The Trip to Anegada

The trip was great. Not many boats headed that way, but we did blow away a monohull. Another checkered flag for Imiloa.................

We are now sitting here (N18 43.410 W64 23.181) drinking a beer, listening to Jimmy Buffet, telling lies, contemplating life, and slowly solving all of the world's problems. After the last problem is solved (world peace), we may rent a car and and head to Cow Wreck Beach.

This photo is looking back toward Virgin Gorda, where we were in the picture posted this morning.

Friday Morning

You can't see it in this picture, but we're off to Anegada. More photos to be posted when we get within sight of the island...................

Thursday Evening

We grabbed a mooring ball at Leverick Bay and made reservations for dinner there. After sipping a few of Ken's famous painkillers on the boat, we hopped in the dinghy and headed to dinner. The restaurant was a little nicer than what we anticipated, but we had a great meal. Three of us had beef and one had salmon. Jumbies had a total of three people at the bar, so we headed back to the boat.

Thursday Morning Update

We left Marina Cay and headed to Monkey Point for a little snorkeling. Later we sailed around the Cockroach Island and Little Camanoe with 30+ MPH winds.

We just ate lunch at Savanna Bay (N18 27.958 W64 25.284), which is on Virgin Gorda near Little Dix Bay. There are a few nice boats in this harbor.

Wednesday Evening - Marina Cay

Cocktails at Marina Cay (N18 27.568 W64 31.713) while listening to Michael Beans. Terry won a trivia contest and won a rum shot. Jim entered the conch blowing contest and came in tied for second with an outstanding 12 second blow. The winner blew for an unbelievable 37 seconds.....................we think he cheated!

Afterwards, we posed for the webcam on the dock.

Video from Wednesday

Wednesday Update

It was really windy last night, and this morning. So we went sailing. Perfect wind, low humidity and it was fun watching Ken play chicken with a cruise ship (not really Tom).

Mid-day, we stormed a small deserted island and officially proclaimed it our own and proudly renamed it Imiloa Island! Well, right up until Terry informed us that it was owned by the BVI National Parks service and already had a name - Fallen Jerusalum. Oh well................it was a fun thought.

After we climbed around on our, er.......... I mean, their island, we sailed to Marina Cay. An anchor was dropped and a beer was consumed, or maybe it wasn't in that order.

Tonight, we are grilling on the boat. Having a great time.

Tuesday Update

We checked out of Sopers Hole around 11:30 this morning (after they had to replace the mainsail) and headed for a full day of sailing. Great day, low humidity and cold beer.

We anchored in Great Harbor at Peter Island and headed to Oceans 7 for an adult beverage. The bartender talked us into eating dinner there, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Tuna, shrimp and jerk chicken. It was much better than we expected.

BVI Bound!

A full week on the Imiloa, a 44' catamaran chartered from http://www.voyagecharters.com/. We'll be there during the last week of February, and can't wait. We want to thank the owner of the boat, Tom Morton, for his support of EPIC Community Services and its mentoring program, Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County, FL. Tom kindly gave a week on the boat to be auctioned off to benefit these great charities. Our fearless leader, Ken, won the auction............so we're headed for a great week on Tom's beautiful boat.

Learn more about EPIC here - http://www.epiccommunityservices.org/ We will gladly accept pledges of $1.00 to be donated to the charity for every Painkiller we consume that week.

Anyone want to step up?
