Hi there, just wanted to add to the comment about the name of our boat Imiloa. After being somewhat pressured to come up with a name since the builders in South Africa were close to finishing our boat, I found the name under a Polynesian site. Immediately I realized it was sort of an acronym for our family names. I for Isla (daughter), M for our last name (Tom's), I for Isla again since she's not only the only girl but the middle child as well ;>), L for me (Laurie), O for Orion (youngest son), and A for Alexander (oldest son).
More research showed the name does mean explorer and voyager. Of course a voyager is one who travels by the sea and the name of the company (Voyage) as well. So it was a perfect fit for our boat!
Glad you're all having a fun time. I'm jealous but we'll be there in April.
