Future Sailors

We met a fun crowd from Atlanta at Cow Wreck Beach, and told them all about the great times on Imiloa and One Love recently. They now have the phone numbers for Voyage, and want to set something up for a future vacation.

Ken Has Another Reason to Come to Anegada

Terry dared him, and now Ken has a new hobby............................

New Graphics for Imiloa

We had some decals made to dress up Imiloa. These will be placed on the side of the boat everytime we beat another boat to our destination.

So far, we have eight on each side. (just kidding Tom) Only two (kidding again)

The Trip to Anegada

The trip was great. Not many boats headed that way, but we did blow away a monohull. Another checkered flag for Imiloa.................

We are now sitting here (N18 43.410 W64 23.181) drinking a beer, listening to Jimmy Buffet, telling lies, contemplating life, and slowly solving all of the world's problems. After the last problem is solved (world peace), we may rent a car and and head to Cow Wreck Beach.

This photo is looking back toward Virgin Gorda, where we were in the picture posted this morning.

Friday Morning

You can't see it in this picture, but we're off to Anegada. More photos to be posted when we get within sight of the island...................

Thursday Evening

We grabbed a mooring ball at Leverick Bay and made reservations for dinner there. After sipping a few of Ken's famous painkillers on the boat, we hopped in the dinghy and headed to dinner. The restaurant was a little nicer than what we anticipated, but we had a great meal. Three of us had beef and one had salmon. Jumbies had a total of three people at the bar, so we headed back to the boat.

Thursday Morning Update

We left Marina Cay and headed to Monkey Point for a little snorkeling. Later we sailed around the Cockroach Island and Little Camanoe with 30+ MPH winds.

We just ate lunch at Savanna Bay (N18 27.958 W64 25.284), which is on Virgin Gorda near Little Dix Bay. There are a few nice boats in this harbor.

Wednesday Evening - Marina Cay

Cocktails at Marina Cay (N18 27.568 W64 31.713) while listening to Michael Beans. Terry won a trivia contest and won a rum shot. Jim entered the conch blowing contest and came in tied for second with an outstanding 12 second blow. The winner blew for an unbelievable 37 seconds.....................we think he cheated!

Afterwards, we posed for the webcam on the dock.

Wednesday Update

It was really windy last night, and this morning. So we went sailing. Perfect wind, low humidity and it was fun watching Ken play chicken with a cruise ship (not really Tom).

Mid-day, we stormed a small deserted island and officially proclaimed it our own and proudly renamed it Imiloa Island! Well, right up until Terry informed us that it was owned by the BVI National Parks service and already had a name - Fallen Jerusalum. Oh well................it was a fun thought.

After we climbed around on our, er.......... I mean, their island, we sailed to Marina Cay. An anchor was dropped and a beer was consumed, or maybe it wasn't in that order.

Tonight, we are grilling on the boat. Having a great time.

Tuesday Update

We checked out of Sopers Hole around 11:30 this morning (after they had to replace the mainsail) and headed for a full day of sailing. Great day, low humidity and cold beer.

We anchored in Great Harbor at Peter Island and headed to Oceans 7 for an adult beverage. The bartender talked us into eating dinner there, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Tuna, shrimp and jerk chicken. It was much better than we expected.
